About Cyberdyne
CYBERDYNE was established in June 2004 in Japan as a university venture to solve various social problems facing the super-aged Japanese society. Our business is to create an ideal future by researching, developing, and manufacturing innovative Cybernics systems, with a focus on improving medicine, welfare, daily life, and the workplace.
The company name is derived from its utilization of innovative “Cybernics*” technologies and the suffix “dyne” which is derived from the Greek word dunamis meaning force/power. “CYBERDYNE” therefore means “power generated by Cybernics” and expresses the company spirit that all employees hold dearly.
*Cybernics is a coined term by Dr. Yoshiyuki Sankai, founder of Cyberdyne. Cybernics is an new cross-disciplinary academic field whose core disciplines are related to human, robots and information systems.
Our Vision
We envision a future where humans and technology are seamlessly interfaced, feeding off of each other in both cyberspace and physical space to revolutionize the way society functions and improve the lives of its citizens.
Through Cybernics and IoH/IoT (Internet of Humans and Things), we connect the human nervous system, physiological system, and environmental system to a supercomputer through advanced AI-Robots. Big data from humans and things are accumulated, analyzed, and AI processed, allowing for the delivery of Precision Medicine, advanced elderly care, and safe labor practices.
