CYBERDYNE Inc. (Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan; President & CEO: Yoshiyuki Sankai; from now on referred to as “the Company”) and LIFESCAPES Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Junichi Ushida, formerly known as Connect Inc.: “LIFESCAPES”), a company engaged in the development of rehabilitation device using brain-machine-interfaces (“BMI”), announced to form a capital and business alliance (CYBERDYNE’s investment in LIFESCAPES).

LIFESCAPES is a research-based company from Keio University that aims to improve the QoL of patients who remain severely paralyzed by developing new rehabilitation devices based on BMI technology.
CYBERDYNE will provide business and financial support to LIFESCAPES so their devices can be widely used in rehabilitation settings in addition to Medical HAL
