Cybernics: the foundation of the business

Cybernics is a new academic field that fused/combined cross-disciplinary fields. The core disciplines of Cybernics are academic fields related to humans, robots, and information systems, such as neuroscience, AI, Robotics, system engineering, information technology, physiology, psychology, behavioral science, philosophy, ethics, law, business administration, and many more.

Complex problems that we face today are difficult to solve from a single direction. As a new academic field that approaches such issues from multiple directions, Yoshiyuki Sankai, a professor at the University of Tsukuba in Japan (the “Company”), founded Cybernics.

To disseminate innovation needed for society, Sankai recognized the need to work closely with practical fields. Sankai founded CYBERDYNE Inc. in 2004, a company named after CYBERnics and Dyne (power). By creating and offering innovative technologies capable of fusing "Human" + "Cyber/Physical space," we will drive the movements to pioneer the future with Cybernics.
